MSU Moorhead falls in D2 Sweet 16

(Topeka, KS) — The Minnesota State-Moorhead men’s basketball team lost to Washburn (KS) in last night’s N-C-A-A Division II Sweet 16 by a score of 93-65. The host Ichabods broke open a close game with a dominating second half, outscoring MSU-Moorhead by a count of 37-12 in the first 13-minutes of the second half. Freshman guard Carson Johnson on Ankeny, Iowa led the Dragons with 17 points, who finished the season with a 25-9 overall record. Washburn improved to 31-3 on the year and advanced to the D-II Elite Eight.
