NAMES RELEASED IN ST. PETER INCIDENT, INJURED OFFICER TO RETURN TO ST. PETER TODAY (FRIDAY)

Names who were involved in the police shooting incident in St. Peter June 18 have been released.  The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who died during a use of force incident in St. Peter.  He has been identified as 21-year-old Jordan Michael Donahue.  The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has identified the police officer who was shot in the arm as Austin Buss.  Nicollet County Seargent Dustin Struckman also fired his firearm during the incident.  Both he and officer Buss have been placed on critical incident leave and Buss had been hospitalized but is expected to return home today (Friday).  After law enforcement tried to contact Donahue, a drone was flown into the home on Bunker Lane and discovered Donahue dead of a gunshot wound.  The St. Peter Police Department has requested the BCA investigate the use-of-force.  Once the investigation is complete, the BCA will present its findings.  A fundraiser has been launched to support the family of officer Buss.  Law Enforcement Labor Serivces (LELS)has announced their nonprofit Benevolent Fund will start accepting donations.   Donations can be made through the LELS website.
