NCAA agrees to pay players
(Undated) — The N-C-A-A is in agreement with the power five conferences on a historic deal. Schools are now allowed to directly pay players for the first time in the history of college sports. According to E-S-P-N, the N-C-A-A will pay more than 2.7-billion-dollars in damages over 10 years to past and current athletes. The parties have also agreed to a revenue-sharing plan that allows each school to share up to 20-million-dollars per year with its athletes. All Division One athletes dating back to 2016 will be eligible to receive a share as part of the settlement.
