NCAA Approves instant eligibility on transfers
(Undated) — The transfer landscape could change for N-C-A-A athletes. The Division One Council approved a new rule proposal on Wednesday which would allow athletes to transfer and play for their new school immediately if they meet specific academic requirements. The previous legislation forced athletes to sit out a year if they transferred to a new school more than once. Players will have no limit on transfers, but they won’t be able to switch programs midseason and play for a second school in the same academic year. The measure is expected to pass on Monday.
