NEW ULM POLICE INVESTIGATING REPORTED GUN SHOT

New Ulm Police were called to an area near North Front Street shortly before 10:30 Thursday morning on the report of a disturbance and alleged discharge of a firearm.   According to a release from the police department, officers set up a perimeter in the area.  Drones and a K9 team were used to search the area.  Two people were located, neither were injured.  Police say the discharge of the firearm was not substantiated and no arrests were made.  Authorities say there is no evidence of ongoing danger in the area.  New Ulm Police were assisted by the Brown, Nicollet, and Blue Earth County Sheriff’s offices, the state patrol, DNR and Allina Ambulance.
