NEW ULM ROUNDABOUT UPDATE

Work on the roundabout near Aldi in New Ulm continues.  MnDOT Construction Supervisor Todd Kjolstad says that there are two lifts of bituminous that have been put on.  The concrete contractor is working there and the curb and gutter is in.  Kjolstad said it is anticipated the final lift of bituminous will go on by the end of the week and then signage, striping and lighting will be installed.  Kjolstad says, just like many projects, weather has played a part in delaying the project by over a month.  Kjolstad says despite the delay, the project is in good shape and they are still shooting for August 9 to open to traffic.  MnDOT officials continue to appreciate people’s patience as these projects continue.
