NO INJURIES IN NEW ULM HOUSE FIRE

The New Ulm Fire Department was called to a reported house fire Tuesday evening at 5:55 pm.  Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the first and second floors of the home at 712 South Front Street.  Fire Chief Paul Macho says the fire originated on the main floor with the entire structure sustaining heavy damage.  The fire department had the fire under control within 45 minutes and was on the scene for about four hours.  No one was home and no injuries were reported.  New Ulm Police assisted at the scene.  The New Ulm Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal are investigating the cause.
