NO ONE HURT IN EMERGENCY PLANE LANDING NEAR FAIRFAX

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office received a call reporting that an aircraft had made an emergency landing after sustaining engine failure near the intersection of 610th Avenue and 460th Street about four miles south of Fairfax Saturday afternoon around 4:20 pm.  Authorities say the Cessna 182 single engine plane was piloted by 25-year-old Cole Kramer of Seneca, Kansas.  He reportedly was flying from Brainerd to Kansas when the engine lost power.  Kramer was able to land the plane safely and the plane did not sustain any damage.  Kramer and his two teenage passengers weren’t hurt.  Fairfax police assisted at the scene.  The sheriff’s office and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
