“No Wake” Emergency Lifted on Stearns Co Lake

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office has removed the temporary emergency no wake for all of North Browns Lake that was put in place in mid-August.

Officials say a visual review of the lake was made last week and the decision was made to remove the emergency no wake.

While water levels remain high, the Sheriff’s Office says the conditions that necessitated the no wake have lessened over the past eight days.

They do however, request and remind boaters on all lakes in Stearns County to be mindful of water levels and to take the necessary steps to mitigate their boats wake impact on shorelines and equipment still in the water.
