Officer Involved Shooting in Chanhassen

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating after two Carver County deputies shot a suspect with a knife.

A news release from the Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a domestic incident in the 7800 block of Harvest Lane in Chanhassen around 2:11 p.m. Saturday.

Authorities say while deputies were talking with the woman who called, a man came out of the home with a knife.

Deputies told the man to drop the knife, but he “continued to quickly advance.”

Two deputies shot their firearms, hitting the suspect multiple times.

The man was brought to Hennepin Healthcare for treatment and is reportedly in stable condition.
