Oilers defeat Wild
Leon Draisaitl put up four points as the Oilers routed the Wild 7-1 on Thursday night at Xcel Energy Center. Freddy Gaudreau put Minnesota on the board late in the first to cut into a 2-1 Oilers lead but Edmonton responded with five straight goals to bury the Wild on home ice. Filip Gustavsson was pulled for the first time this season giving up five goals on 26 shots. He lost for the first time in six starts while the Wild saw their three game win streak at home come to an end. Six Oilers had a multipoint effort in the rout including Connor McDavid with a pair of assists. Minnesota hosts Philadelphia at 1 P-M on Saturday afternoon.
