One Driver Hospitalized in Two-Vehicle Stearns Co Crash

One driver was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Stearns County Saturday morning, north of Fairhaven.

The Sheriff’s Office says 53-year-old Barbara Meemken of St. Cloud was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Her passenger, 63-year-old Patrick Sphan of St. Cloud suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

The driver of the other vehicle, 59-year-old Betrina Sturges of Watkins, also suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

Sturges was eastbound on County Road 146 and told authorities she did not see the stop sign at County Road 7 and struck the Meekem vehicle that was traveling southbound on County Road 7.
