One Injured In Tuesday Morning Accident
One person was injured in an accident involving a semi on Tuesday in Beltrami County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Charles Byron Walsh (26) of Park Rapids was injured when the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving collided with a 1999 Kenworth Semi Tractor. Authorities say Walsh was eastbound on Lumberjack Road when the accident occurred just after 10am on Highway 89 in Alaska township.
Walsh was taken to Red Lake hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening.
The driver of the northbound semi, Holden Nathan Oien (29) of Clearbrook suffered no apparent injury.
Road conditions were listed as dry at the time of the accident.
