One Person Injured In Two Vehicle Accident on Highway 2 in Polk County

A Crookston area woman was injured in a two vehicle accident Tuesday in Polk County. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 34 year old Kayleigh Ann Ibarra was injured when the eastbound 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan she was driving made contact with another vehicle that was eastbound on Highway 2 in Lowell Township. 

Ibarra was taken to Crookston Hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. A passenger, a 15 year old male suffered no apparent injury. The driver of the second vehicle, 18 year old Morgan James Muir of Hallock was also uninjured. All were wearing seat-belts at the time of the accident reported just after 7:30pm.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
