Opening Day is here
(St. Louis, MO) — The Minnesota Twins will open the 2025 season with an interleague series at the St. Louis Cardinals. Game one of the three-game series is this afternoon at Busch Stadium with a scheduled start time of 3:15 P-M. Twins ace right-hander Pablo Lopez will get the starting nod for Minnesota, while former Twins righty Sonny Gray will start for the Redbirds. Lopez says when the two pitchers played together in Minnesota, he took a great deal from Gray, including how to create Gray’s bulldog mentality on the mound. The Twins crumbled down the stretch last season, falling from first-place to fourth-place in the American League Central. The team is counting on the young players on the roster to take a step forward. Oddsmakers have the Twins as one of the preseason co-favorites to win the division.
