Organic Carrots Blamed for E Coli Infections in 5 Minnesotans
(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Department of Health is warning Minnesotans of an E. coli breakout.
Epidemiologist Carlota Medus says you should dispose of recalled organic carrots.
She says it’s called E. coli O121 and we have five cases in Minnesotans who ate organic carrots, and those carrots got recalled.
The illnesses have been linked to carrots purchased from Costco, Target and Hy-Vee, and brands have included Good and Gather, Bunny Luv and Cal-Organic.
