Packers win clinches a Playoff Spot for the Vikings

(Minneapolis, MN) — A battle in the N-F-C North in Minneapolis headlines Monday Night Football tonight. The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears clash from U-S Bank Stadium. Minnesota is riding a six-game winning streak following a Week 14 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Vikes quarterback Sam Darnold threw for five touchdowns and almost 350 yards as the Vikings improved to 11-2. Chicago is hoping to end a seven-game losing streak that includes last weekend’s loss to the San Francisco 49er’s. Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams was held to just 134 passing yards as Chicago fell to 4-9. Tonight’s game kicks off at 7 P-M in downtown Minneapolis. The Vikings secured a playoff berth with Seattle’s loss last night.

(Seattle, WA) — The Green Bay Packers jumped out to an early lead and never trailed en route to a 30-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks in an N-F-C showdown on Sunday Night Football at Lumen Field. Jordan Love completed 20-of-27 passes for 229 yards and two touchdowns. Josh Jacobs rushed for 94 yards and a score. The Packers have won four of their last five and sit third in the N-F-C North at 10-4. Seattle Q-B Geno Smith was 15-of-19 for 149 yards and an interception before departing with an ankle injury. The Seahawks had a four-game win streak snapped to fall to 8-6.

(Detroit, MI) — The Detroit Lions’ franchise-record 11-game winning streak is over after the Bills knocked off Detroit 48-42 at Ford Field. It was the highest-scoring game in the N-F-L this season. Josh Allen threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 68 yards and two more scores. James Cook added 105 yards and two touchdowns on the ground for Buffalo, which has scored 30-plus points in eight straight games. That extends the Bills’ franchise mark as they improved to 11-and-3 on the season. Jared Goff finished 38-of-59 for 494 yards and five touchdowns for the Lions, who fell to 12-2. Detroit still leads the N-F-C North, but the Vikings are now right behind at 11-2 heading into their game against the Bears on Monday. Amon-Ra St. Brown racked up 14 catches for 193 yards and a T-D, while Jahmyr Gibbs had 114 total yards and two scores in the setback.
