PART OF KINGSWAY ASSISTED LIVING IN BELLE PLAINE EVACUATED AFTER FIRE

A fire forced over two dozen residents to evacuate a senior living facility in Belle Plaine this (Friday) morning.  Fire crews say the fire started in the third-floor laundry room at Kingsway Senior Living and extended into the attic.  The east wing of the building will be off limits to residents for at least a day due to the damage.  Firefighters say no one suffered serious injuries and the fire was out by 6 am.
