Patrick Henry Duffy

Patrick Henry Duffy, age 85, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Belle Plaine, MN passed away peacefully
August 27 th surrounded by family. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, September
1 st at Our Lady the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be one hour prior to the
service at the church. Interment will be at St. Johns’s Catholic Cemetery in Faxon township. In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be sent to: Apache Wells Shrine Club, 5737 E. Montera Place, Mesa, AZ
85215.
Born on September 01, 1940, to Raymond and Mary (Nally) Duffy at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul,
MN. Patrick grew up in Faxon Township, Sibley County, Minnesota. He retired after 40 plus years at
the manufacturing plant which was originally known as Green Giant can plant in Savage, MN. He
went on to have a second career as a realtor with his wife Emilie as the Duffy Team in Mesa, AZ.
Including closing on the sale of a house in Arizona from his hospital bed just three weeks ago.
Patrick was married for 66 years to his high school sweetheart Emilie Tolzmann. Together they raised
two children, Patrick (Sandy Michel) and Julia (Kevin) Miller.
His interests included renovating houses with his father-in-law August Tolzmann, collector cars and
visiting with friends. He was involved with the Masonic Lodge and as a Shriner where his activities
included being in the Bagpipe Band and Zurah Shrine Car Club. He was also in activities at church.
Patrick is survived by his wife Emilie, his children, grandchildren Courtney Kovach, Dustin (Alex)
Kovach and Wes Miller. Great grandchildren, Amiah Miller and Emberlynn Miller. He is also
survived by his sister Mary Pat Murphy, sister-in-law Marge Duffy and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Mike and Kevin and his very loved father and
mother-in-law August and Jeanette Tolzmann.
