Pedestrian Stuck By Delivery Driver in Verndale

A Wadena area man was injured after being struck by a delivery driver this week while walking in Verndale. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the 33 year old man was in the crosswalk when he was struck by an eastbound 2024 Ford Econoline driven byTroy Alan Saltzman, (57) of Brainerd. The pedestrian was taken to hospital and treated for injuries troopers at the scene described as non-life threatening. Road conditions were dry at the time of the accident reported just before 3pm Wednesday. 

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
