PETER WENDINGER GOES INTO INTERNATIONAL POLKA ASSOCIATION HALL OF FAME

A local music legend went into the International Polka Association Hall of Fame in ceremonies Saturday in Pittsburgh.   Peter Wendinger went into the Hall of Fame and during his speech he said the award was really about “us” and the “us” he talked about was his late brother Paul, who played together with Peter for many years.  Paul went into the IPA Hall of Fame in 2012 two years after his death.  Peter also acknowledged his wife of 55 years Dodie, his kids and grandkids and all the musicians, roughly 230, who he has played with over his 61 years of playing music.  Eight people from New Ulm have went into the IPA Hall of Fame.
