Pilot Makes Emergency Landing in Renville County

The pilot of a small plane had to make an emergency landing in Renville County Saturday afternoon south of Fairfax.

At about 4:18pm, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting that an aircraft had just made an emergency landing after sustaining engine failure, near the intersection of 610th Avenue and 460th Street.

Authorities say the Cessna 182C was piloted by 25-year-old Cole Kramer of Seneca, Kansas and was carrying three passengers.

Kramer was flying from Brainerd when the engine lost power. He was able to safely land the plane in a field with no damage or injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
