Pilot Suffers Minor Injuries in Kandiyohi Co Plane Crash

A pilot was injured when his single engine airplane overshot a private runway in Kandiyohi County Saturday morning north of Lake Lillian.

The Sheriff’s Office says as the plane was landing, the pilot was unable to stop the plane before the end of the runway and the plane entered a field and overturned.

The pilot, a 67-year-old man from rural Atwater, suffered only minor injuries.

The crash is under investigation.
