PLANNING COMMISSION APPROVES NEW COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

The New Ulm Planning Commission approved the new comprehensive plan at their meeting Thursday.  Community Development Director Dave Schnobrich said that a survey shows that people liked living in a clean, well-maintained community, park trails, open spaces and recreational facilities, family-oriented and also small city access to larger cities were the most popular responses.  The commission went through the entire plan and found no major concerns that warranted editing the proposal.  There was a public hearing but no comments were fielded.  The plan was unanimously approved.
