Plymouth Ends Flock License-Plate Camera Contract

Plymouth is discontinuing its contract with Flock Safety following concerns about privacy and transparency. The City Council voted to end the city’s automated license-plate-camera program.

Police said the cameras helped investigators solve crimes and that Plymouth’s system was not shared with federal agencies. Opponents questioned how the information was stored and who could access it.
