Poll Shows Tie in Minnesota Attorney General Race

A new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll shows a dead heat in Minnesota’s race for attorney general.

DFL incumbent Keith Ellison and Republican challenger Ron Schutz each have support from 43 percent of respondents. Schutz leads in Greater Minnesota, while Ellison has stronger support in the Twin Cities.

In the governor’s race, DFL U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar leads Republican House Speaker Lisa Demuth 51-to-36 percent.

DFL candidate Peggy Flanagan holds a five-point advantage over Republican Michele Tafoya in the open U.S. Senate race.

The results are a snapshot of the electorate with about 11 weeks remaining before Election Day on November 3rd.
