Poll Shows Walz at New Approval Low; Trump Ties Previous Low

A new K-S-T-P and Survey U-S-A poll shows declining approval ratings for Governor Tim Walz and President Donald Trump among registered Minnesota voters.

Forty-one percent approve of Walz’s job performance, while 55 percent disapprove. That gives the governor a net approval rating of minus-14—his lowest in the polling series.

Trump has 37 percent approval and 61 percent disapproval. His net rating of minus-24 ties his previous low from June.

The Minnesota Legislature’s approval rating is 35 percent—up one point from the previous survey—while 49 percent disapprove.

Survey U-S-A questioned 1,757 registered Minnesota voters from July 29th through August 4th. The credibility interval is plus or minus 2-point-9 percentage points.
