President Biden Not Running for Re-election

President Biden announced in a letter on social media Sunday afternoon he is ending his re-election campaign.

Biden said, “I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

He immediately endorsed Vice President Harris to lead the ticket.

The President, still recovering from COVID, remains at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and writes “I will speak to the Nation later this week in more detail about my decision.”

Vice President Harris writes in her first fundraising email “I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.”
