PRIMARY ELECTION DAY

Minnesota voters will decide today (Tues) which candidates move on to the November 3rd general election. The primary ballot features several major contests, including races for U.S. Senate, governor and Congress. Voters do not need to belong to a political party to participate, but they must stick with candidates from one party on the partisan portion of the ballot. In races where more than one candidate is seeking a party’s nomination, the winner advances to the November election. In nonpartisan contests, the top finishers move on.
