PUBLIC HEARING OCTOBER 28 ON MAYO CLINIC HEALTH SYSTEM-FAIRMONT CLOSURES

The Minnesota Department of Health will hold a public hearing later this month on the Mayo Clinic Health system Fairmont’s closure of its obstetrical care, inpatient pediatric care and surgical procedures  units.  A filed submission says MCHS will consolidate and relocate these services to its Mankato campus.   The hearing will include both an in-person and virtual option to provide a forum for the community to discuss the change in services.  It will be hosted by MDH’s Health Regulation Division in the large conference room at Mayo Clinic Health system in Fairmont or you can join it virtually or by calling 1-651-395-7448.  More information can be found on the Mayo Clinic Health System Fairmont  Public Hearing webpage on the MDH website.  The public hearing will be Monday, October 28 at 6 pm.
