Quentin Raddatz

Quentin Raddatz, age 85 of Belle Plaine, passed away on June 1, 2024 at Oak Terrace in Jordan.  Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine.  Rev. Daniel Slaughter will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery followed by a luncheon back at church.

Quentin was born in Minneapolis on September 24, 1938 to Curtis and Violet (Moenke) Raddatz.  He grew up on the family farm near Carver.  He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran in Carver.  Quentin graduated from Chaska High School in 1956. He was in the US Army, and stationed in Arizona as a MP.  He married Barbara Adams and that marriage was blessed with 3 children.  On December 31, 1987 at Grace Lutheran in LeSeuer he married Janice (Mueller) and that marriage was blessed with one child.  Quentin loved farming and enjoyed collecting tractors.  He also enjoyed going to toy shows and threshing shows.  Everyone who stopped by could see some of toys he collected and farm photos displayed throughout the home. On Sundays he could be found listening to old time music. Quentin worked for Scott County for 30 years as a Deputy Assessor. He had various other jobs throughout his life, but he was always happiest when he was farming and just being on the farm.  He is preceded in death by his parents and one Sister Abigail Raddatz.

Quentin is survived by his wife Janice, Children: Tony Raddatz of Belle Plaine, Ann Raddatz-Palacios of Green Isle, Mike Raddatz (DeDe) of Gaylord and Curtis Raddatz (Tera) of Belle Plaine. 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren Sister: Caroline Robillard of Palm Springs, CA
