Red Flag Warning

A Red Flag Warning will be in effect today (Tuesday) from 11am until 9pm for portions of central, south central, southwest, and west central Minnesota.

Officials say high winds and low humidity will cause any fires that develop to spread rapidly and outdoor burning is not recommended.

Winds will be from 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 40 mph with humidity as low as 23 percent.

The following counties are affected:

-Pope

-Lac Qui Parle

-Swift

-Chippewa

-Kandiyohi

-Meeker

-Yellow Medicine

-Renville

-McLeod

-Sibley

-Redwood

-Brown

-Nicollet

-Watonwan

-Blue Earth

-Martin

-Faribault
