FINAL REFERENDUM RESULTS AT SIBLEY EAST, BLUE EARTH AREA SCHOOLS

The final referendum results are in for Sibley East and Blue Earth Area schools.  At Sibley East with all 16 precincts reporting, there were 769 votes and 1247 no votes on a nearly $4-million bond referendum for renovation, repair, remodeling and equipping of the existing swimming pool facility at the middle/high school.  For Blue Earth Area Schools, there was a two-part question referendum.  Question one asks for $63.3-million for a new PreK-6 elementary school, high school renovations and removal of the existing elementary and middle school.  All 24 precincts are reporting and question one passed with 1450 yes votes, 1160 no votes.  If question one passed, question two asked for $10.3-million for multi-purpose activities space at the new elementary school and HVAC at the high school.  All 24 precincts are in and there were 1363 yes votes and 1221 no votes.
