RENVILLE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE INVESTIGATING ARMED ROBBERY IN BIRD ISLAND

The Renville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the report of an armed robbery in Bird Island Friday.  Two men reported to authorities they were robbed at gunpoint after receiving a ride to Bird Island.  Authorities identified a 19-year-old suspect and arrested him.  He is being held in the Renville County jail on probable cause first and second-degree aggravated robbery.  Formal charges are expected to be filed by the Renville County Attorney’s office.
