RIVER FLOOD UPDATES

River flood warnings continue for  many area rivers.  The Cottonwood River at New Ulm is falling.  As of 8 pm Wednesday, the stage was at 16.5 feet after a crest of over 19 feet early Monday.  The river is expected to continue to fall below flood stage late Sunday evening and continue falling to around 9 feet Wednesday.  Flood stage is 11 feet.  The Cottonwood River above Springfield measured 28.2 feet as of 8:30 Wednesday evening.  The river is expected to fall below flood stage Monday morning and continue falling to 19.9 feet by Wednesday.  Flood stage is 22 feet.  The Minnesota River at New Ulm measured 803 feet as of 8:45 Wednesday evening.  The river is expected to continue falling to 799.7 feet by Wednesday.  Flood stage is 800 feet.  Flood warnings also continue for the Minnesota River at Henderson, at Morton, at Mankato and at Montevideo and the Redwood River at Redwood Falls.
