Rockies End Twins Streak
The Colorado Rockies rallied for four sixth-inning runs during a 5-4 win over the Minnesota Twins last night at Target Field. The game was scoreless before Ezequiel Tovar hit a three-run home run in the sixth for the Rockies. Cal Quantrill earned his sixth win after giving up three hits over six scoreless innings, while Tyler Kinley picked up his fifth save. The win was Bud Black’s 500th as Colorado’s skipper. Byron Buxton and Carlos Santana both homered in the losing effort, while Caleb Thielbar was charged with his second loss in relief. Minnesota has dropped six of eight and is now 35-32 on the year.
