Rosalie Dianne (Stein) Christensen, daughter of George and Edith (Spittle) Stein, was born December 14, 1943 at the Morris Hospital. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chokio, MN. Rosalie grew up on the family farm near Chokio. Rosy was the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Chokio High School in June, 1961. Rosy worked at Federated Telephone Company in Chokio. After the children were grown, Rosy went back to work at Henry’s, Nova Care, Sonia’s, and the Morris Senior Center
Rosy met the love of her life, Knute Christensen at the Lakeside Ballroom and this past June they celebrated 60 wonderful years together. Rosy and Knute adopted two of the luckiest children, Karen in 1971 and Kris in 1973, after the death of their infant daughter Mary. Rosy was a stay-at-home supermom until her children were grown. She was also a farmer’s wife, always having meals and lunches ready in the field. Rosy love attending her children and grand-children’s events and was always up for helping with school projects and was always up to being grandmas taxi service. Rosy loved collecting stamps, crystal items and teapots.
Rosy was a social butterfly making friends every where she went. Knute and Rosy were able to take many trips together with Rustads throughout the USA and were able to travel to Denmark and other countries along the way. She loved camping at Barret Lake Resort, playing bingo and throwing tea parties.
Above all else, Rosy treasured every minute she was with her family. Her greatest blessing in life were becoming a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
