Saleh joins Packers
(Green Bay, WI) — Recently-fired New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh will be consulting for the Green Bay Packers in a “fluid” role that involves providing the defensive perspective to the teams offense, according to Packer head coach Matt LaFleur. Saleh was at practice Wednesday as the team gears up for their Sunday tilt with the Jacksonville Jaguars. LaFleur says Saleh won’t be helping out with the team’s defense, and he has complete trust in defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley. Saleh spent four seasons as the 49ers defensive coordinator and the last four seasons with the Jets as head coach. Five times in the last six seasons, Saleh’s defense has ranked in the top 10 for yards allowed.
