SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDES FREE TRAINING TO BECOME EMT
Allina Health New Ulm Medical Center, along with the Hobart and Charlotte Anderson Estate and others is offering scholarships to future emergency management technicians. Applicants must be at least 18 years old to apply. Scholarship recipients will have 100-percent of their tuition covered. The EMT training will be held in Springfield and run from September 9 through January 22, 2025. Recipients will complete 160 hours of in-class training and ambulance ride-alongs. Classes will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 10 pm. Scholarship recipients must pledge to serve as an EMT in the south central Minnesota region which includes New Ulm, Sleepy Eye, Springfield, Courtland, Lamberton, Fairfax, Lafayette and Winthrop. Appicants have until August 19 to apply.
