Results from Thursday night action:

Volleyball:

Big South Finals-Fairmont was a straight set winner over Waseca, as did Belle Plaine over Worthington.

Tomahawk/Valley-Cathedral wins 3 to 2 over Lester Prairie, BLHS wins 3to 0 over Sleepy Eye, as did St Mary’s over Springfield and heard on SAM 107.3, Wabasso defeats GFW 3 to 0- and Madelia needed five to get past GHEC/Truman.

South Central:

MVL was down 2 to 0, then won the next three sets to defeat Lesueur/Henderson 3 to 2, St Clair was a 3 to 0 winner over Sibley East and LCWM wins 3 to 1 over Maple River.

Red Rock results-SW Minnesota Christian wins 3 to 0 over Red Rock Central, as did Murray County Central over Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey and Westbrook/Walnut Grove over Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda.

West Central-Minnewaska defeats BOLD 3 to 0.

Tennis:

Belle Plaine defeats New Ulm 6 to 1, St Peter was a 7 to 0 winner over Worthington, as was St James over Luverne and tri City United defeats Sibley East 4 to 3.

Soccer:

Boy’s-New Ulm remains unbeaten with a 1 to nil win over Marshall.

Girl’s-New Ulm defeats Marshall 3 to nil and St Peter was a 7 to nil winner over Wings United.

Week Three of the Football Season:

GFW shuts out Mayer Lutheran 20 to 0, Nicollet wins shoot out over BLHS 50 to 38, Westbrook/Walnut grove defeats Mountain Lake Area 22 to 12 and Edgerton shuts out GHEC/Truman 54 to 0.
