Boy’s Basketball:

St James wins a conference game over Tri City United 73 to 58, Fairmont picks up a non league victory over Martin County West 80 to 31, Nicollet picks up a section win over St Mary’s 85 to 53, LCWM defeats Loyola 73 to 57, their third straight, BOLD defeats Yellow Medicine East 51 to 48, the Cathedral-Springfield game was moved to February 24th.

Girl’s Basketball:

The first game in the new gym at GFW saw the Firebirds defeat Sibley East 54 to 44, Kinley Bruns lead all scorers with 17 points, BOLD wins a section game over Cedar Mountain 83 to 59, Springfield picks up a non conference win over Tracy/Milroy/Balaton 67 to 61 and St Mary’s at Nicollet game was cancelled. New Ulm gets a win over Central 70 to 61, Jordan picks up a section win over St Peter 63 to 45, St James picks up a Big South win over Tri City United 85 to 53, as did Fairmont over Worthington 80 to 24. Maple River defeats MVL, in a South Central matchup, 54 to 46, LCWM defeats Belle Plaine 53 to 47 and Lesueur/Henderson defeats Loyola 60 to 55, Sleepy Eye defeats Cleveland 80 to 55, Taylor Berkner tossed in 31 for the Indians, GHECML/Truman was a 69 to 51 winner over Blue Earth. Red Rock finals- Westbrook/Walnut Grove defeats Red Rock Central 72 to 35 and Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey was a 60 to 53 winner over Edgerton.
