St James defeats Madelia 81 to 60, Marshall picks up a section win over Hutchinson 81 to 59, Worthington edges Redwood Valley 58 to 55, Cleveland has a nice second half, which leads to an 83 to 54 win over Cathedral, Mayer Lutheran picks up a section win over Sleepy Eye 56 to 54, Lester Prairie picks up a conference win over Cedar Mountain 69 to 49, BOLD defeats BLHS 64 to 59, Wabasso was an 85 to 57 winner over GFW. South Central scores-St Clair defeats MVL 76 to 71, LCWM defeats Sibley East 75 to 50 and Maple River was a 70 to 57 winner over Lesueur/Henderson. Jackson County Central defeats GHECML/Truman 84 to 54. Red Rock finals-Westbrook/Walnut Grove defeats Red Rock Central 86 to 73 and RTR was a 76 to 54 winner over Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey.

Girl’s Basketball:

Marshall wins the Big South Championship defeating Fairmont 77 to 50, Cleveland outscores Cathedral in the second half 35 to 18 enroute to a 62 to 38 win, Springfield defeats Windom 90 to 84, Lesueur/Henderson was a 52 to 40 winner over GFW, Janesville/Waldorf/Pemberton defeats Sibley East 74 to 40, GHECML/Truman was a 54 to 36 winner over Loyola, Madelia defeats Minnesota School for Deaf 69 to 21. Tomahawk Make up games-St Mary’s was an 82 to 35 winner over Nicollet and Cedar Mountain takes it BLHS 82 to 40.

Section 3A Boy’s Hockey:

(Play in Games)-Windom advances with a 3 to 2 win over Redwood Valley and Fairmont defeats Worthington 7 to 1. Round two is Thursday.
