Basketball scorecard from Friday.

Section Girl’s Basketball Championships:

2A champion is St Mary’s. the Knights Morgan Mathiowetz’s two free throws with seven seconds to play lifts St Mary’s to a 62 to 60 win over BOLD.

2AA champion is Central. the Raiders run away from Glencoe/Silver Lake 58 to 33.

Both winners advance to the State Girl’s Tournament next week.

NCAA Men’s Basketball:

Gustavus moves to the second round with an 86 to 70 win over Bethany Lutheran. The Gusties will play Mary Hardin-Baylor, Mary Hardin defeated UW/Stevens Point 84 to 76. Game time Saturday is 7:20pm.

NCAA Women’s Basketball:

Chicago eliminates Gustavus from the tournament, with a 60 to 44 win. Chicago will play UW/Whitewater, Whitewater edges Transylvania 70 to 65. Saturday’s game tipoffs at 7:15pm.

Bethel moves to the second round with an 81 to 73 win over Millsaps and Concordia also advance with a 73 to 61 win over UW/Superior.
