Here is the scorecard from Thursday.

Section softball:

2A-Martin County West shuts out Janesville/Waldorf/Pemberton 7 to 0, Cleveland ten runs Sleepy eye 12 to 2, Nicollet upsets the defending champion USC 1 to 0 in 8 innings and Cathedral defeats Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 8 to 2. the tournament continues Saturday, the winners play each other, as do the losers starting at 10am at Caswell park.

2AA-LCWM ten runs Tri City United 10 to 0, Fairmont defeats Randolph 6 to 4, St James shuts out Belle Plaine 2 to 0 and Lesueur/Henderson needed 10 innings to defeat Cannon Falls 3 to 2. The winners play each other, as do the losers, Saturday at 2pm at Caswell park.

2AAA-Jordan scored nine times in the last two innings to break open a four all score and defeats New Ulm 17 to 4, Jordan then took on Mankato East and was defeated 4 to 3, St Peter ten runs Albert Lea 10 to 0, as did Mankato West over Marshall 12 to 2. St Peter then defeated Mankato West 3 to 2 and Albert Lea eliminated Marshall with a 9 to 2 win. Games continue Saturday, beginning at 10am at Caswell Park.

Section baseball:

2A-Madelia shuts out Nicollet 16 to 0, Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey defeats GHECML/Truman 11 to 1, Loyola shuts out BLHS 8 to 0, Cathedral ten runs RRC/WWG 15 to 1, as did Sleepy eye over Martin County West 12 to 2 and Cleveland over GFW 12 to 2, St Mary’s eliminates BOLD winning 6 to 1 and Springfield shuts out Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda 12 to 0,The tournament continues on Tuesday.

2AA-Waseca was a 3 to 1 winner over MVL, Sibley East defeats St Clair 9 to 2, Randolph shuts out Blue Earth 13 to 0, Triton upsets Belle Plaine 5 to 4 and maple River edges LCWM 10 to 8.

Regular season results-Albert Lea defeats New Ulm 4 to 1, St Peter defeats Jordan 6 to 5, Fairmont shuts out Worthington 10 to 0 and Marshall was a 6 to 2 winner over St Cloud Tech.
