Upper Midwest Classic:

Sleepy Eye edges Mankato Nationals 2 to 1, Merrick Mathiowetz picks up the win. New Ulm pounds out 12 hits, enroute to an 18 to 2 win over St Peter. Zach Hubbard had three hits and 4 rbi’s, Hunter Larson had two hits and 3 rbi’s to lead the hitting attack. The tournament continues today.

VFW:

Sleepy Eye VFW defeats Springfield Jr Legion 5 to 3, Gus Hoffmann had the game winning  sac fly in top of sixth. Lake Crystal raced out to a 6 to 0 lead and defeated New Ulm Silver 8 to 2.

Crow River:

Delano defeats Carver 5 to 1.

River Valley:

Jordan defeats Lonsdale 14 to 5.
