Sub-State 2 Legion Tournament:

New Ulm opens with a 6 to 3 win over Worthington, the Nationals defeat New Prague 5 to 3, Marshall defeats Waseca, no score given, and the Americans defeat Northfield, no score given. Gold plays the Nationals at 1pm at Wolverton, the Americans play Marshall at 2pm at Mn State.

Jr Legion Division 1 Sub-State G:

New Ulm advances to the title game with a 7 to 6 win over New Prague. Marshall wins a pair over elimination games over the Americans and Worthington. New Prague will play Marshall at 11:30am, the winner plays New Ulm at 2pm.

Tomahawk East:

New Ulm stays atop the league after a 14 to 4 win over Searles, Courtland is right behind them, after a 14 to 4 win over Gibbon, Springfield was a 10 to 5 winner over Lamberton, Leavenworth defeats Fairfax 15 to 2, Hanska was a 6 to 3 winner over St James and Stark wins a make up game over Sleepy Eye 9 to 0.

Crow River:

Hamburg defeats Brownton 15 to 5 and Watertown was an 8 to 4 winner over Glencoe.

River Valley:

Lesueur defeats Prior Lake Mudcats 3 to 1 and New Prague was a 9 to 4 winner over St Peter.

Twins win:

The Minnesota Twins snapped their four-game losing streak with a convincing 10-6 win in Cleveland last night. Twins infielder Brooks Lee hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning to break the game open.

Lynx win fifth straight:

The Minnesota Lynx saw the return of their star player Napheesa Collier in an 86-76 win in Seattle yesterday. Collier delivered in her season debut, registering a 24-point, ten-rebound double-double in just 22 minutes of action.
