Jr Legion Division 2 State Tournament:

Sleepy Eye is the Consolation Champion with a 5 to 3 win over Royalton, Caledonia  takes third with an 8 to 4 win over Bagley and Parkers Prairie is the Champion defeating BOLD 14 to 11.

Section 1A:

New Ulm Brewers stay alive with a pair of wins over Dundas 3 to 0 and a 3 to 1 winner over Hastings. New Ulm will play Faribault on Friday night.

Region 2C:

Leavenworth eliminates Lamberton 5 to 3, the Orioles play Springfield Friday night. Stark shuts out Milroy 4 to 0. The Longhorns will play Granite Falls Friday night.

Region 7C:

Hamburg stays alive with an 11 to 0 win over Winsted, Brownton defeats Norwood 9 to 7. Hamburg plays Westonka on Friday night and Brownton will take on Arlington Thursday night. Cologne advances to the State Tournament with a 6 to 2 win over Westonka.

Brewers walk off Twins:

The Milwaukee Brewers walked off the Minnesota Twins with a 4-3 victory in 10 innings at American Family Field in Wisconsin yesterday. Jake Bauers drove in the game-winning run with an R-B-I single in the bottom of the 10th. he Twins got homers from Kody Clemens and Brooks Lee in the setback. Minnesota has dropped two in a row and will host the Baltimore Orioles for a three-game set that begins tonight at Target Field. Coverage begins at 6pm on KNUJ and SAM 107.3.

Lynx Back in the Win Column:

Minnesota Lynx guard Kayla McBride set an all-time W-N-B-A record by making ten shots from three-point range in yesterday’s 103-90 win over Dallas in Minneapolis. McBride netted a career-high 43 points, going 10-of-14 from beyond the arc and 16-for-21 overall. Minnesota continues to hold the league’s best record at 27-7 and will visit Portland on Wednesday at 9 P-M.
