Here is the scorecard from Thursday night.

District 3B:

Lesueur advances to the State Tournament next week with a 12 to 4 win over Lonsdale, also advancing is Union Hill. the Bulldogs defeat Eagle Lake 17 to 5. The Braves and Bulldogs play a seeding game Saturday at noon.

District 7B:

Watertown advances to the State with a 6 to 5 walk off win over St Boni. Watertown plays a seeding game, Saturday at 2pm.

Region 7C:

Brownton stays alive in the Region with an 11 to 1 win over Arlington. The Bruins play for a spot in the State tournament,  Saturday at noon.

Section 1A

New Ulm will try and advance to the tournament, the Brewers will play at Faribault tonight at 7:30pm.

Region 2C:

Leavenworth takes on Springfield tonight at Johnson Park for a spot in the State, game time is 7:30pm

Stark will play Granite Falls for a spot in the tournament at Mueller Park, game time is at 7:30pm.

Twins get beat by the Phillies:

The Philadelphia Phillies handed the Minnesota Twins a 7-1 setback at the Field of Dreams movie site in Dyersville, Iowa, last night. More than seven thousand fans watched at the new Field of Dreams Ballpark. Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber led the game off with a solo homer and also went deep in the fourth inning. He has 37 homers this season. Minnesota starting and losing pitcher Taj Bradley worked four innings of seven-hit, five-run ball. He drops to 9-5 on the season. Luke Keaschall accounted for the lone Twins runs, hitting a solo blast in the second inning. The Twins are now 60-63. Both teams are off tonight and will resume their three-game series with a game tomorrow at Target Field in downtown Minneapolis. Tomorrow’s first pitch will be 6:10 P-M.
