State Amateur Baseball Tournament:
Class A:
Shakopee edges Champlin Park 2 to 1 and Chaska was a 4 to 3 winner over Air Freight.
Listen for the New Ulm Brewers game with Minnetonka on KNUJ, coverage begins sometime around 4pm from Chaska.
Class B;
Union Hill eliminates Princeton 10 to 2.
Class C:
Brownton moves to the next round with a 4 to 2 win over Waseca. Cole Mathews pick up the complete game win.

Tennis:
Mankato East shuts out New Ulm 7 to 0.
St Peter/St James Quad:
St James wins three matches- 7 to 0 over Pine City, 6 to 1 over Blue Earth and 4to 3 over St Peter. The Saints defeated Pine City 7 to 0 and Blue earth 6 to 1.
Twins Lose to Padres:
The Minnesota Twins opened a six-game west-coast road trip with a 6-2 loss to San Diego last night. Minnesota had just two hits in the game, and the only two runs scored on an two-run triple by Kody Clemens in the fourth. That hit tied the game at two, but San Diego scored four runs in the fifth, and the Minnesota offense didn’t threaten after that. Starter Connor Pirelipp takes the loss as he gave up six earned runs in six innings pitched. The Twins are 63-66. The loss drops them out of the third wild-card spot, one game behind Texas. The Twins are four-and-a-half (4.5) games behind the White Sox in the Central Division. Thirty-three games remain in the regular season. The Twins and Padres play again tonight in San Diego, with first pitch at 7:40. Coverage begins at 7pm on KNUJ,
Lynx Win 6th Straight:
The Minnesota Lynx won on the road last night at Washington, 94-84. Olivia Miles led the way with 24 points, while Natasha Howard added 21 points and Kayla McBride scored 18 points. Napheesa Collier sat out the game for rest. Minnesota improves to a league-best 31-7. Next up for Minnesota is a home game against Golden State on Monday night at Target Center. If the Lynx win that game, they’ll secure the number-one seed for the second-straight season.
