Twins take game two of series from Detroit:

The Minnesota Twins scored ten times in the sixth inning and dominated Detroit 15-2 last night at Target Field. The Twins banged out 15 hits, including homers from Royce Lewis, Kody Clemens and Ryan Jeffers. Jeffers and Lewis each drove home three runs. Lefty Connor Prielipp earned the win after working five innings of three-hit shutout baseball. Minnesota has won three straight games to improve to 67-72, sitting three-and-a-half games out of the final A-L Wild Card spot. The Tigers fell to 63-75. The Twins go for the three-game sweep tonight at Target Field at 6:40 P-M. Coverage begins at 6pm on KNUJ and SAM 107.3.

Belle Plaine comes to New Ulm and picks up a 3 to 0 win, St Peter wins in straight sets over Austin, as did LCWM over Blue Earth Area, GFW defeats Sibley East in three sets, Martin County West was a 3 to 0 winner over Cathedral, Lesueur/Henderson was a 3 to 1 winner over Glencoe/Silver Lake, Westbrook/Walnut Grove defeats Springfield 3 to 0, Cleveland was a 3 to 0 winner over Jan/Wal/Pem, St Clair defeats Nicollet in four sets, as did Lakeview over Wabasso and Madelia defeats Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 3 to 1.

Soccer finals:

New Ulm boys shut out Fairmont 5 to 0, Worthington shuts out St Peter 7 to mil and Tri City United wins big over Wings United 10 to 1

New Ulm girls defeat Fairmont 4 to 2 and Tri City United defeats Wings United 6 to 2.

Tennis finals:

Tri City United shuts out New Ulm 7 to 0, St Peter was a 6 to 1 winner over Waseca, St James was a 6 to 1 winner over Fairmont, Sibley East defeats USC 4 to 3 as did Lesueur/Henderson over Maple River.
